What happens after I add a link?

  1. 1

Submit an affiliate link—no login needed

  2. 2

We check its status and final destination daily

  3. 3

You get an email only after a repeated failure or change

What will the alert email tell you?

Example: Affiliate link alert

Link: Your AI tool review

Reason: Two consecutive failures, HTTP 404

Current destination: unavailable

This is an example, not the current status of your link. We only email when there is something to fix.

Why affiliate marketers need link monitoring

An affiliate link is more than an ordinary web URL. It can carry tracking parameters, redirect rules, and attribution data. A link may still open a page while sending visitors to the wrong destination or losing the path that identifies your referral. Opening a link once only proves that it worked at that moment; it does not prove that it will keep working every day.

AI Affiliate Link Monitor records the HTTP status and final destination of each monitored URL. It can surface more than a visible 404 or 500: a destination can change while the request still returns 200. That makes it useful for links placed in reviews, comparison pages, social profiles, newsletters, and other content that keeps sending visitors after publication.

1. Capture a baseline

When you add a URL, the monitor records its initial final destination as the comparison baseline.

2. Check it daily

Each check follows redirects and stores the status, final URL, check time, and consecutive failure count.

3. Alert only when action is needed

An email is sent after two consecutive failures or a confirmed destination change, rather than for every temporary error.

Where can affiliate link monitoring help?

Content sites: Check links in older reviews, comparison pages, and resource lists before more visitors are sent to a dead destination.

Social profiles: Keep profile links, link-in-bio pages, and pinned posts pointed at the intended offer.

Multiple programs: Give each link a clear label so an alert tells you exactly which promotion needs attention.

Teams and client work: Use the check history to see the latest status, destination, and failure time instead of relying on manual screenshots.

When does Pro make sense?

The free plan is enough to start with a small set of important links: up to 5 links and 1 affiliate program alert. Pro is designed for marketers maintaining several content pages or programs: up to 100 links and 50 program alerts, with link check history. Start with the free limit to see whether email alerts fit your workflow; you do not need to connect an affiliate dashboard just to try it.

What should you do after an alert?

An alert is not a commission report and it does not replace a manual review. Its job is to tell you which promotion needs attention. Open the management link, review the recent checks, and open both the original URL and its current destination in a browser. Then decide whether the program was retired, the product URL changed, tracking was lost, or the failure was temporary.

For repeated failures, the history shows the HTTP status or request error. If the request still returns 200 but the final URL differs from the baseline, the dashboard shows the changed destination. That distinction matters: a basic dead-link check can say that a request succeeded, while an affiliate marketer also needs to know where the visitor ultimately landed.

The monitor does not edit your articles, affiliate account, or links, and it never asks for an affiliate-network password. It reads the public URL you submit and associates the result with your management email. Start with one important link, confirm that the management email arrives, and add the rest of your content gradually.

What the monitor does not check

Link monitoring checks whether a public request succeeds, where it finally lands, and whether failures repeat. It does not read clicks, orders, commissions, or payouts from an affiliate network, and it cannot guarantee that a program will approve your application. It also does not measure a page's rankings, traffic, or conversion rate. Keeping this boundary clear makes the alert useful and tells you which questions still belong in the affiliate network or analytics tool.

How to build a useful monitoring list

Start with the links most likely to receive clicks instead of adding every URL at once. Prioritize the homepage, reviews, comparison pages, and profile links that represent your main promotions. Use a label such as a program name plus the page location, so an alert immediately tells you which content needs an edit. Add a new monitored link whenever you publish a new review or replace an affiliate offer.

It is also useful to review the management page occasionally: confirm that the latest check time is current, make sure the final destination still matches your expectation, and remove links you no longer use. The free plan is a practical way to validate the workflow. Consider Pro when your active list exceeds 5 links or when you need alerts for several official affiliate pages. That keeps the upgrade tied to real usage rather than a promise of features you may not need.
